21 Weeks

I am in my 21st week now, and everything is going much better. No more nausea, so that's GREAT!!! I am eating more now. I get full faster, so I can't eat a lot at once, but I eat a lot more throughout the day. I am hungry almost every hour, haha. Not really any strange cravings yet, I just want yummy food! I do crave water a lot, which is good! I really do not like to drink much of anything else, but water. My tummy is growing some now, and I am wearing all maternity pants now. The best part is I can feel Connor moving all the time. I do not think anyone can really feel him from the outside yet. One time Ben thought he felt him, but wasn't sure. He usually gets active at night from 7-10 pm. It feels like somersaults, kicks, and punches. It is great! I can't wait for Ben to be able to feel. He reacts and starts moving at night or to Ben's voice or spicy food. I wanted to start taking a picture every week to see how my belly grows, so here is my first one.

We had Shannon's baby shower on February 5th, and it was great!!! The decorations were beautiful, the food was yummy, and she got lots of awesome gifts! It was so much fun that I wanted to post some pictures from it. Now she is 36 weeks and excited to meet her daughter (as we all are)!

Healthy Baby, Sick Momma

I went to the doctor on Wednesday for my check up. Everything went GREAT! His heart rate was 150, which is good. My stomach measured normal, almost matched exactly to my week. I gained 2 pounds this time, which was good since I have lost weight the past doctor visits. I made my next appointment for the end of March. This is when I will do my glucose test and have a check up. When I was on my way home, I started sneezing and not feeling so well, so I thought it was allergies. Later that evening I started feeling really tired, achy, and not good, so I went to bed early. I woke up that night around midnight with 102 fever, so I took Tylenol and put a cool washcloth on my head. Then my mind started going, and I got emotional worrying that my high fever would hurt Connor. I called the doctor in the middle of the night to ease my worries, and she told me to keep taking Tylenol and come in first thing in the morning. I went in this morning and everything was good with Connor. I tested positive for the flu. So she gave me some Tamiflu to take along with Tylenol and rest! I have been taking my medicine and resting for the rest of the day and hoping to get better soon. I feel much better knowing that everything is ok with Connor.
