Overachiever :)

This was the first full week back to work for me, and I am definitely feeling the baby blues. It is so hard to say goodbye to him every morning. I'm sure every mom goes through this, but it is so sad. I know it is crazy, but I start thinking, "Is he going to forget me? Am I going to miss everything new he does?" I know he is safe and well taken care of, but it is hard. On a brighter note, he will be 11 weeks old this Sunday. He is smiling a lot now. His favorite spot is his changing table, and he loves to be naked on it. He is trying to talk and make noises, which is adorable. He holds his head up really well while we are holding him or sitting him up. He is growing so much! I do not know how long he is or how much he weighs now, but he has definitely grown a lot! He is so sweet and cuddly. He is finally sleeping through the night consistently now. He will go to sleep between 8:30 and 9:00 and sleep until 5:30 to 6:00. We just noticed today tat he has already began teething. He has a tooth breaking through on his bottom gum. We knew he would be an overachiever :) He is much more alert now and fixates on things that interest him. He loves to go on walks in his stroller and be outside.

8 Weeks Old

Connor turned 8 weeks old this past Sunday. He is growing so much and learning new things everyday. Monday he had his 2 month check-up and shots. It was sooooo sad, but luckily Ben went with me to comfort him (and me). He got 3 shots in his legs and 1 orally. He was tired and cranky after, so I tried to make him feel better and comfort him all day. His poor thigh was red and swollen, so I gave him some baby tylenol to help with the pain. We also found out that Connor is growing well. He measured 23 1/4 inches long, which is the 70th percentile, 12.6 pounds, which is the 75th percentile, and his head measured in the 66th percentile. The doctor said he is growing nicely, and he is a tall boy. She also reassured me that he is proportionate :) He is wearing size 2 diapers now and size 3 month clothes, sometimes 3-6 months. He is also making lots of noises, cooing, smiling, kicking, grabbing, making eye contact, and much more. I actually caught some smiles on video, so that was exciting (Once I figure out how to add the video, I will)!

Chubby Cheeks

Our baby boy is 7 weeks now, and he is doing much better! He is on medicine now for acid reflux, and he is feeling so much better! He was so unhappy for a little over a week. He would scream and cry from the time he woke up until the second he went to sleep at night. We couldn't figure out why, and after many doctors visits and me demanding something be done, we finally tried the medicine for acid reflux. After the first dose, he was already 90% better. That night he slept from 8:00 pm to 6:00 am because he was sooooo tired from that week. Poor baby! We have switched his formula as well to help his tummy, and he seems to like it. He is finally getting back to normal and feeling way better, so I am a happy momma since my baby is happy :) He is sooooo cute and more interactive too. He makes eye contact, lifts his head, smiles, makes noises, kicks his legs, hits things with his hands, grabs objects (and my hair), and so much more. He is filling out as well. Last doctor's visit this past week, he weighed 11.4 pounds. He is starting to get rolls on his thighs, arms, and neck and his cheeks are so chubby and sweet! I also decided to take a bath with my baby boy, and I loved it! He is so sweet and just lays on my chest. We just relax and listen to the water. It is a great bonding time for me and Connor! We are loving every second with our baby boy and can't wait to watch him grow even more.
Playtime!
